The Beginner large-scale construction set contains 116 parts, allowing you to create 24 great designs so your little crawler* can embark on their first climbing adventures. The learning tower is used especially often. Children watch us parents very closely, so it is only logical to involve them in our everyday lives. But more on that below!

Even before your child takes their first upright steps at around 8 months, they practise a wide range of skills every day. Most of the time, your little crawler simply stands up only to sit down again. Some time later come the first very cautious steps while holding on to something. The Beginner large-scale construction set is the perfect toy for playfully accompanying these first adventures.

*At QUADRO, we use the term ‘little crawler’ for a child who is beginning to consciously perceive their surroundings and wants to explore them actively through movement. This generally starts within the first 6–12 months of life.

With the design My First Tiny Playhouse with Climbing Platform

you will see your little one instinctively trying to pull themselves up on it and later climb onto the platform at a height of 25 cm. And you will see your child’s immense, uninhibited joy when they master these movement sequences.

Especially at the beginning, it is important that you can always step in immediately to provide support whenever something does not work on the first attempt.

The following learning towers can be built with Beginner

The learning tower model is a raised platform for toddlers that can be used in the kitchen or bathroom, among other places, allowing you to do things together at the same height. Instead of watching and fussing from below, your little one is suddenly right in the middle of the action and fully involved. The side enclosure always provides secure support, which immediately builds confidence!

Here too, it is important to remember that all of this is completely new to your toddler and that you must be able to step in and help immediately at any time.

Transforming the climbing frame into a learning tower is completely effortless thanks to the plug-in system and can be done quickly. No sawing or drilling, no DIY plans or trips to the hardware store.

Everything you need is already included in the Beginner. And if your learning tower ever comes into contact with fruit or other staining foods — no problem. Thanks to the high-density materials, you don’t have to worry about any discoloration.

The comparatively large standing area is important. Combined with the slightly textured panel for an even more secure foothold, it had already proven to be the perfect platform size during QUADRO’s development between 1976 and 1979.

Depending on your child’s age, you can also build the learning tower without side panels – just as your crawler needs it.

Cleaning and maintaining the learning tower is quick and easy. All parts can be thoroughly cleaned with simple dish soap and plenty of water, without any limitations or issues. You can do this as often as you like or whenever it becomes necessary.

You know your child’s abilities best. Here is an overview of the possibilities Beginner gives you:

• Upper railing ideally at your child's hip height
• Can be fully enclosed, partially open, or completely open
• Easy and safe access to the models, with no sharp edges – everything is rounded and safe to grip
• Standing platform at a height of 45 cm—ideally at knee level—so toddlers can reach the counter or washbasin by themselves
• In addition to the 45 cm platform, a 25 cm height is also available – ideal for initial training
• Panel with a lightly textured surface for secure footing, yet stain-resistant if something gets spilled
• Virtually indestructible material, even when exposed to household cleaners such as soft soap or dishwashing liquid
• Also suitable for outdoor use – no water absorption, splintering, or cracking like with wooden products
• No painting or sealing required throughout the entire life cycle, unlike wood
• Very important: No lasting odors after outdoor use, since neither water nor other environmental factors can penetrate the high-density material

Of course, Beginner is also compatible with the QUADRO curved, modular and integral slides for even more variety!

With two or more Beginner sets, all you need is a QUADRO slide and the models Tower and modular slide as well as Tower and curved slide can be built after a quick conversion.
